LammTech COVID-19 Update

March 30, 2020

Good afternoon,

The country continues to deal with the pandemic and the impact that it is having on practically every aspect of our lives. We collectively worked together to get staff (yours and ours) working remotely in order for us all to serve our respective customers. As they say ‘the show must go on’. Albeit a slightly different show for some of us and for some a show stopper.

As we enter another week of remote working it would appear that we’re reaching the apex of remote user set up for our clients. We are now in the ‘tuning’ mode of working through resource allocation and availability.  I want to offer a word of thanks to you and your staff for your patience as we worked to get everyone productive. We had to focus all of our resources to make this happen and some lessor priority tickets had to be delayed. We are now working to catch up and begin our ‘new normal’.

It would seem that we’re still facing an uncharted stretch of road ahead. We’re in this together and everyone at LammTech will do everything they can to support you and your users and keep commerce flowing.

While it may seem repetitive I cannot close this update without again telling you how much we appreciate your business and friendship.

If you have any questions or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. Above all, stay safe and healthy.

Best wishes to you, your families, and your staff.

Good evening,

I wanted to provide you an update on LammTech.

In addition to the information communicated March 18th below, effective Monday, March 23, all LammTech staff will be working remotely. Everyone is healthy and eager to continue to support you and your users. We’re just going to be doing so safely isolated from each other and the community.

As a reminder, we have discontinued on-site client visits until further notice.

We had a busy week last week working with clients’ users and getting them ‘remote operational’ and I’m sure we’ll have more to go. We appreciate your business and are committed to supporting your efforts during this interesting time in our lives.

Once again, if you have any questions or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. Above all, stay safe and healthy.

Best wishes to you, your families, and your staff.

Like everyone today, LammTech is following the ever-evolving situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). As your Information Technology partner, I want you to know we’re here for you and how we’re going to manage our business continuity and assist you with yours.

Beginning today, March 18th, we have initiated our business continuity plan of transitioning to a remote workforce. As of right now, almost 60% of our technical support team is working from home and 50% of our administrative staff are working from home with no disruption in support to our clients or their systems.

Additionally, as a precaution, we have discontinued on-site client visits until further notice. Projects and deployments will resume once health organizations deem the risk to be mitigated. We do this out of an abundance of concern not only for the health and welfare of our staff and families but for you, our client and your users. We would not want to spread this virus by traveling from site to site among our clients so we have chosen to join in the effort to ‘flatten the curve’.

We have also closed the inside lobby of our facility to public access. Should you have to drop something off, you can still enter the front of our building into the atrium and we will make arrangements for the exchange. Please call us to schedule a delivery.

[SPECIAL NOTE]

If you have a need to enable your users to work remotely and have not yet contacted us, please do. While everyone’s health is of paramount concern – it is also important to remember that cybercriminals are exploiting those who rush to implement an insecure remote alternative. We are here to assist you. We have already assisted many of our clients with their business continuity needs and stand ready to help you. Join us in not being victims of cybercriminals who are taking advantage of a bad situation.

We are committed to staying informed, as well as making and communicating the best possible decisions for our staff, their families, customers, and community during this ever-changing situation. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.
